It Takes a (Gingerbread) Village

Every year, the LMP team has a few events that stand out from the others. This party was one of them.

When Hallmark came to us to plan their annual Macy’s Day Parade Viewing party, we knew we were about to have the opportunity to create something really special. This year was the 10th anniversary of the Countdown to Christmas, so they were looking for this celebration to be their best one yet. Our team of elves got to work brainstorming all the Christmas things, and it was a dream come true. Floral installations, garlands galore, twinkle lights, gingerbread houses, and endless Christmas cheer- we knew this one would take a village, and luckily we had the most amazing team from Hallmark Channel and talented vendors on our side to make it happen.

Let’s start this party by talking about the first thing all the guests saw when they walked in- the lush evergreen archway. We were so lucky to partner with Harry J Floral Design and T & J Set Design to make this happen. These vendors were incredible to work with, and they brought our vision to life in the most perfect way. Harry J also handled the incredible live garlands and trees all over the venue. The twinkle lights, ornaments, and ribbons combined with the incredible greenery made for such a magical effect throughout the whole space.

Moving onto the incredibly intricate gingerbread village created by Tiny Kitchen Treats. When we saw the whole thing come together, all we could think was WOW. Straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie, the Tiny Kitchen Treats team was able to bring a vision to life in the most spectacular way. Complete with a Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas billboard, a train station with a toy train, a Victorian style house, a brownstone with a florist and a pet store, an ice skating rink, and little trees peppering the scene, this village could not have been more perfect.

Now let’s talk about party fun… This party is always full of kids so the team at Hallmark comes well prepared with crafts, gifts, prizes, and activities for all to enjoy. We had a caricature artist we found through Melinda’s Children’s Parties, Wacky Wendy and even SANTA made a surprise visit! And of course, we couldn’t do a party without a Photo Booth moment with Studio Z. Fun props and a perfectly Hallmark Christmas Background was available the whole time for all the guests to walk away with fun memories of the party.

Finally… let’s talk about our space. Porter House is a gorgeous restaurant overlooking Columbus Circle, with a perfect view of the city. Their brunch spread paired with festive morning cocktails was exactly what these guests needed to start their Thanksgiving morning. Best of all, they served the most delicious, festive desserts. They even helped us make the hot cocoa bar beautiful!
