The LMP Kids Embrace the Holidays

As you may have noticed on our blog yesterday, we can be pretty crafty and put together many ideas to entertain our kids. BUT...sometimes we look to our friends over at Imagination Lane NYC.

Michelle and I recently got the kids together to take some photos for our holiday cards this year. To keep the kids happy and entertained we set out a couple of awesome crafts that Imagination Lane put together for us for New Years Eve.

First they made Star shaped wands. The stars were precut with sticker paper that the kids applied sequins to and then stuck another star shaped sheet to it so the decorations stayed inside.

Then they moved onto to decorating noisemakers that were made out of cardboard. They added buttons and jingle bells to the inside. Then glued with more sequins and glitter to decorate them.

After crafting we posed for a few of our holiday card shots...keeping it light and having fun. We tossed up confetti with the boys....who loved this so much they gave me tons of kisses afterwards. Lucky ME!

Then we bribed Alexandra with a cupcake to get her to stand under the antlers Michelle drew on our chalkboard wall. Now seriously...does it get cuter then this???

After all this went down we took the kids out to lunch. Worst choice of restaurants (MY BAD) ever. We went to the Sugar Factory in the Meatpacking district. The kids were literally like "kids in a candy factory" when they walked in (yes Alexandra has a pizza purse...could you die?!) but totally held it together till we sat down. Then it turned into a total sh*t parade with the worst service I've ever seen in my whole life. Luke literally fell asleep at the table while waiting for our food. Don't worry...I will write my review on this place as soon as I can find the time!

Overall, hugely successful day. The kids had a blast and we got the photos we wanted for our holiday cards plus more just to send to our family. We owe these gorgeous shots to our incredibly talented (and holy patient) friend Dave Robbins. We are very lucky to have this guy in our lives.
