Pamper me, Baby

Here at Little Miss Party we do a lot of showers for both brides and moms to be. Showers are one of our favorite types of events because we really get the opportunity to go all out creatively for such a special occasion.
It’s sometimes hard to hold back on the decor at a baby shower…especially when working with a classic theme like a spa. There’s so much inspiration these days and I have an unhealthy addiction to Pinterest.

For this party, we worked with Karen the Cocktail Party Chef on a menu that was best suited for the guest of honor.  This was an all Turkish menu including herbed falafels, skewered lamb kofte, kisir (turkish tabbouleh) and pita with all the fixins’ to dip.  We served the guests family style so the ladies could lunch
leisurely.

When we sent the proposal for this party to Stephanie we thought – how about making this a “Pamper me baby” theme. She went wild and loved it!  So we brought in a couple of gals from MySpa2Go and set up a station for the guests to get express pedicures.

In this spa area that we established in Stephanie’s apartment we set out personalized bottles of water, flip flops for the gals to wear after their pedis and a bath salt bar with salts from the San Francisco Bath Salts Co. We put out mini glass jars, complete with personalized labels, for the guests to fill and take home.

I truly loved the detailing here…a bowl with rose petals and gold spray painted rubber ducks, rolled towels tied and white peonies in charcoal bud vases…it all looked so classy and modern.

When Afaaf walked in she was floored and you could see it. Her comments about the party are so sweet…

“I felt truly special! It was the most beautiful shower I have ever seen! It’s the details that really made my heart melt and realize how lucky I am to have such an amazing and caring friend. Thank you so much Stephanie!”

As for drinks for the gals, we kept it simple, but really pretty serving pink champagne, and pink lemonade with slices of lime in mason jars. For dessert we offered coffee and tea. Speaking of…one of our favorite tables yet! We got a gorgeous vanilla cake frosted with buttercream from Sugar Sweet Sunshine and worked with our friend Stefanie Markman to make the rest of the beautiful goodies….ginger biscuit cookies, carrot cake cupcakes and red velvet “rattle” cake pops.  Divine!

Lastly, we took advantage of the ceiling that Stephanie has in her apartment which includes pipes that we could hang things from.  So we got a bunch of tissue poms and lanterns from Luna Bazaar to hang down. They completely transformed the room and looked pretty fantastic…

Thankfully we had Raquel to capture this party and the stunning mom to be on camera for us and she did so beautifully.

The party was a success. Afaaf, was blown away and Stephanie couldn’t have been happier. Music to our ears.
