A Little Holiday Magic

Obviously we love styling parties of all types, but I have a special place in my heart for holiday parties. Though the holiday season can get hectic around here, I say the more the merrier!

The inquiry for this event came in around September, which is just about the time when people start thinking ahead for the coming holiday season. We got right to work with the team at Vistar Media on their 10 year anniversary party, which they also wanted to be an end of year holiday party.

They sent along a few inspiration images to kick off the design process. This is always a huge help to us, because it cuts out a lot of the guessing game of what a client is looking for. Of course, we’re always happy to create our own vision, but if a client knows what they want we say bring on the pics! Here is a look at our mood board, to see what the vibe we were going for was.

The VM team was looking for chic decor touches that looked elegant and gave you a winter feeling without the fake snow and wrapped gifts. We went with a color palette of black, white, and gold to accomplish that.

There is no REV event without a touch of florals and the anemones we were able to find at the flower market were to die for!

Of all the decor elements, one of my favorite touches was this luscious eucalyptus garland which we draped along the bar.

To tie in eucalyptus in more spaces and also bring in more of a holiday feel, we added wreaths throughout the space. We also added velvet pillows which always give off a wintery vibe.

On the tables we created these centerpieces which were complete with wooden slabs, modern pillar candle holders, and stems of eucalyptus.

Lighting really played a big part of the decor for this party as well, which is why we added ambient lighting throughout the entire space as well as these impactful marquee lights in the ballroom to act as a backdrop for speeches throughout the night.

This party turned out elegant, chic, and filled with all the holiday magic. While the holiday season may be over, these photos have me excited for all the upcoming holiday events we’ll get to plan in 2023! Happy New Year!
