Making a splash with Maybelline

Last week, we got to be a part of a pretty incredible experience starting with a pool party in East Hampton for the Global Maybelline It Girls.

We worked in a rental house coined as the Maybelline IT Girls' house. The backyard was the perfect backdrop for us to work with. There was a huge lawn, a pool and a brick patio where we set up a mirrored bar and DJ booth.

At the bar we served rosé, bubbly water and signature drinks using our favorite new cocktail mixers from Splash.  We styled black cubes of hot pink florals by Sag Harbor Florist bringing in the signature Maybelline color all over the event.

We also set up a fabulous black and white striped cabana where we served Babe Rosé (new from the Fat Jewish)...all day.

When the girls arrived, they were greeted by the custom doormat that Shop Josie B made for us. Do yourselves a favor...check out her shop. I've already picked out 6 doormats to order for friends and family for Christmas this year. Her work is brilliant! BYE FELICIA ~ HA!

As the girls walked into the house they were gifted a branded and personalized bag full of pool party goodies. Flip Flops, a towel and of course tons of Maybelline swag....

Maybelline make-up was styled all over the house for the girls to play with. In the bathrooms, living room, kitchen....we had mirrors all over and the girls were working their magic with the amazing products.

One of the ideas we dreamt up for the pool party was to create a plank that goes directly over the pool for a good looking bartender to stand behind and serve drinks from. Well the pool plank was executed absolutely perfectly thanks to our new friends at the 11th Street Workshop however we ended up with rain so our bartender remained up on the patio, where it was covered and dry.

For lunch, we called in our favorite Hamptons Caterer, Janet O'Brien. Her incredible team set up the most fantastic fajita bar where guests were served grilled steak, seasonal veggies and rice and beans.

One of my favorite elements to this party was the fringe letters that we got from Confetti System.  From the day I discovered these guys I've been dying to work with them. A couple of years ago we ordered some piñatas from these guys to style a surprise wedding that we did....but this time around...we had them make us MAYBELLINE IT GIRLS letters to hang as a backdrop for photos. Boy did we all have some fun with this!

How about these Funboy pool float lips?  I mean....c'mon. MWAH!

Another great find was this circle chair. We needed something to stand out on the grass and make a statement. I think this circle chair did the trick!

More fun continued with the Mir Mir photo booth that our clients brought in. Does this look familiar....It's Kim Kardashian's fave! The guys who worked this selfie station were dolls and taught us how to pose like models. Boy was this ever FUN!

To end off on a sweet note we brought in an ice cream cart and served Ralph's Italian ices in flavors cotton candy and lemon. Refreshing and so pretty.

This event truly could not have been more perfect and what a fabulous way to kick off a vacation in the Hamptons for these gals. Tune in tomorrow...Michelle will be recapping the gorgeous dinner parties that we styled!
