Back when we shipped our Little Miss Birthday Party in a Box to my friend Ilana to set up her daughter Harlow's 2nd birthday party, her husband, Mike had made some kind of sly remark about how easy the box was to set up...and so he and my husband Adam should have done it. I thought...um, yah. You should have. I'll save that idea for another time thank you very much! Well that bright idea came to mind when thinking about Mother's Day! So guess who got a Little Miss Spring Party in a Box and set up the most adorable brunch for our families? THESE GUYS! Oh yah...check this out... It all started with Adam, Mike, An LMP in a Box and Dave Robbins. Yes I had to have a photographer in there capturing this all because otherwise I wouldn't have believed they did this on their own... Ilana and I took the brood of kids out to the park. It was a gorgeous day so we played and hung out while the boys did their thing. We were out for about one hour. When we got home...here's what we came home to......a beautiful table, bagels & cream cheese and mimosas. A pretty perfect mother's day with the families if you ask me?! Those boys made us proud! So what happened while we were gone? Here's what we learned thanks to these photos Dave Robbins so beautifully documented for us... It started with a couple of glasses of scotch. Apparently they felt this was necessary after opening the box. They took a stab at the tissue fans and lanterns in the box and although I have heard people make comments about these before - worrying they wouldn't know how to set them up - these guys figured it out in no time... Now the flowers...well there are a few gorgeous glass bud vases in our box. The boys picked up simple white tulips (perfection) and put one in each. When I sat down for brunch I noticed there was tape on one of the stems...here's what happened behind the scenes. Problem solvers or what? These guys went as far as using teapots that they found on the dining room table as vases for more flowers.  I think they have been secretly paying attention to the LMP Instagram account... The guys set out the plates, straws, napkins and cups all buffet style. Everything was perfect. They even lay down the crepe yellow runner that is included which really made the dining room table pop! To complete the table they searched the apartment for other household times to use. They found a pink tray for serving and colorful placemats which they put on top of the runner and on the buffet to make the tables extra colorful and pretty. To eat they served the perfect and easiest brunch spread...bagels, cream cheese, fruit, assorted salads and orange juice. They even took my glass Chemex coffee pot and turned it into a water pitcher.  It's obvious now these guys pay attention around this place...I was very impressed! Not sure what we were doing with the scissors here...and I may never know. But the tomatoes were sliced pretty perfectly... They found platters, serving knives (I didn't even care that they used the halloween ones) and cake stands for cupcakes. They topped them with our "YAY" toppers and it all looked STUNNING! When we got back to the apartment the kids ran in and started plowing through the bagels. Meanwhile, my jaw was dropped to the ground. I was so touched by the effort they put behind this set up and I couldn't actually believe how perfect it was. These boys proved that Michelle and I have done our job with this box and delivered supplies that are so easy to set up...even a guy could do it. So ladies....if I were you...I would leave this blog post open on your computer so your hubby stumbles upon it and gets inspired to surprise you with a brunch like this for Mother's Day...Here is your direct link to SHOP THE BOX - now we're making it easy for you ! Happy Mother's Day! Let us know how it goes....! All photos above were taken by Dave Robbins Photography.
