Partying in Place to stay safe this Christmas

For the past few years, we’ve had the great honor of bringing holiday magic to life in lobby of Mount Sinai hospital to celebrate the families of the Hematology/Oncology clinic. Each year, we choose a theme and bring in games, activities, food, music and SANTA for the kids to enjoy with their families.

This year however, we will not be gathering in person. When we connected with the life specialists who we work with at the hospital, and absolutely adore, we had a brainstorm about how to bring the magic to their patients without being together in person.

Of course, the first thing that came to mind was to create a customized Little Miss Party in a Box for everyone to get at their December appointment. Ali and the team loved this idea!

We sourced tableware and activities to celebrate the season and worked closely with the team to ensure all items would be well received. Of course we took great precautions and care in packaging each box to ensure the highest of safety during this delicate time.

One of favorite elements of the box is the stuffed Professor Dog with clothes to dress him up with! Professor is the clinic dog who is there to bring support and joy to all of the children and that he does. He’s the sweetest dog! Each year he makes an appearance at our party, dressed in theme so we just couldn’t resist making him a part of this special gift box.

The box included other items such as plates, napkins, cups and activities for each family to easily set up and enjoy the winter holidays together at home.

While we cannot celebrate in person this year, we have great hope and confidence that we’ll be partying together again next December and in the meantime, we hope to bring many smiles to the patients of the Mount Sinai Hematology/Oncology clinic.
