The Gold Standard of Beauty

I’m sure I sound like a broken record by now but I’ll keep saying it. We LOVE working with with the team at L’Oréal. From the PR team at ABMC to the crew at L’Oréal, they are simply the best.

This past November, we worked on an event where L’Oréal hosted editors to learn about their “gold standard of beauty” and listen to experts speak about the technology behind their products.

We came in and styled the Penthouse Suite at my favorite hotel in New York City: The Equinox in Hudson Yards. I actually stay at this hotel every time I’m in the city so not only was it convenient but it’s stunning so made for a fabulous canvas for us to style this event in.

When it comes to styling a space for an event, we take every area into account. The Penthouse has a large master bath and since we were going to be using the bedroom for a special activity, we knew that the guests would be in this bathroom. We added branding to the mirrors, hero images to gold frames and we styled the products and florals throughout.

A go to move of ours when styling a space in a building that has striking views is to add branding to the windows. This way, when you take a photo, the branding comes through with New York City as the backdrop.

We worked with the Equinox Hotel to serve a beautiful and delicious spread of food during the two sessions that took place for this event. The first, was breakfast and the second was in the late afternoon where we served elevated snacks. We took the opportunity to brand the coffee sleeves and napkins to pull more branding through.

To spice up the catering, we had an interactive moment with Maman. We had one of their pastry chefs come in and paint gold flakes onto chocolate dipped croissants. This was SO fab and SO YUM!

In the master bedroom, we brought in Love Weld to set up a station where the guests could get a bracelet welded onto their wrist. These girls were so sweet and the bracelets are gorgeous! Was such a fun and a well received event activity!

The event flow was executed flawlessly. We had a Welcome to the Gold Standard of Beauty sign to greet the guests when they arrived, we set up stadium type seating for L’Oréal’s team, experts and scientists to speak in front of their audience. We also set up a console table with all products and a floral installation to make for an eye catching presentation with the L’Oréal Logo set on the TV as a backdrop.

Like I said at the beginning, we adore this team of people and just love bringing their events to life.

Photos in this post were taken by the amazing Wini Lao…another amazing person that we have had the great honor of meeting and always so enjoy working with!
