Women Who Inspire

March, is Women’s History Month. Though I’m running late (literally last day of the month) on posting about this, it’s better late than never especially given the women we’re going to highlight today.

Today, I am sharing a recap of two women who come from two different walks of my life. Both, incredibly inspiring.

First, back when I lived in New York and hired Maggie on as an event designer, she quickly introduced me to her bad ass cousin, Brittany. Brittany is one of the hardest working women that I know. She is an entrepreneur, Go-Getter, makes things happen and doesn’t quit. She’s as SIA Says, Unstoppable.

Second, I made a move to Florida in 2020 and once I got settled and Covid truly ended, I dove right back into events and had to find my Florida people. One of the first vendors that I discovered and instantly connected with was Audrey of Regard Libations. Audrey runs an uber successful bartending business and we have now worked together so many times on so many epic events I truly cannot imagine life without here.

Here’s an inside look at these two powerful Gals…

New York City: Brittany Lo, CEO and Founder of Beia

About Brittany:
Brittany Lo is the CEO and Founder of Beia, a premium vegan skincare brand dedicated to enhancing self-confidence by addressing concerns like sweat, odor, and body blemishes. Beia offers multi-purpose products formulated for sensitive skin with natural, high-quality ingredients. Designed to empower women to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, Beia’s innovative approach integrates self-care with confidence for every situation.
Prior to launching Beia, Brittany spent over 10 years founding and scaling Beautini, a multimillion-dollar NYC-based bridal beauty service. Featured in Vogue, The New York Times, The Knot, and BRIDES, Beautini has transformed the beauty experiences of thousands of brides.
With both brands, Brittany continues her mission of empowering women’s confidence, from their big day to everyday life by creating products and experiences that inspire just that.

What inspires you about working alongside other female business owners?

I LOVE getting to cheer other women on in their successes and having women in my corner while I'm figuring things out! I call a female founder friend almost daily to ask questions, discuss tricky situations, or share a big win. Having someone you can mutually celebrate with, learn from, and lean on like that is truly invaluable and I will never take it for granted!

Who is a woman that you look up to?
My mom. She raised four kids while working full time with very little help, and somehow was still always so present for us! She’s been one of my biggest supporters when it comes to my dreams, and the way we still stay connected means the world to me. Our relationship and bond is something I will cherish forever!

What piece of advice would you give to a woman looking to start her own business?
There are SO many things I've learned along the way, but I think it's most important to seek advice and perspectives from people you trust but don’t lose your own intuition in the process! No one will ever understand your vision like you do!

Ponte Vedra Beach, FL: Audrey Ancelin, Owner of Regard Libations

About Audrey:
My name is Audrey Ancelin, and I am the owner operator of Regard Libations, a full service mobile event bartending company, based in Jacksonville, Florida. When I'm not getting the party started across Northeast Florida, I'm at the thrift store, traveling to a new place, trying new restaurants or bars, and networking with other female business owners.

What inspires you about working alongside other female business owners?
Women are inspiring, business owners or otherwise! There's something about being in a room with people who just get "it" - the highs, lows, and the day-to-day of maneuvering this world as a woman. That dynamic naturally occurs in a business space, too.

Who is a woman that you look up to?
I look up to all women, but if I had to narrow it down for this question, I'm in awe of anyone who's birthed a child. While there are many ways to be a mother, bringing life into the world is just incredible. You go mama!

What piece of advice would you give to a woman looking to start her own business?
Don't be afraid to ask questions. You don't know what you don't know and THAT'S OKAY. I made many mistakes the hard way in the beginning of my career, and the one thing I regret is not inquiring and listening to those who've been down this road before.
