Sips for Sunrise - rain or shine!

For the past few years we have helped the amazing team at Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid, P.C. to put on the most fantastic event for Sunrise Day Camp. Sunrise is an organization that sends children who have been diagnosed with cancer to summer camp, free of charge. Their siblings also get to go to the camp.

This charity holds a special place in my heart as we also work with Mount Sinai hospital to provide celebrations for their pediatric cancer patients and their families and it's pretty amazing to be able to help a child who is sick.

At this fundraiser, there are several local businesses who donate their time and services. Restaurants donate food, vineyards donate wine, local shops donate prize baskets and more. We take care of setting it all up and making sure the evening runs smoothly.

It's always so nice to see how this group of people come together to support such an amazing cause. We also take great pride in making it look so great. From the flowers to the way the food is placed on the table we make sure that everything is perfect for the guests who are in attendance.

You wouldn't know it from these photos but it poured all day and night. We refused to believe the rain would continue so we set up tents all over the front lawn and hoped for the best. The guests were so cool and didn't let any drops of rain get in their way of enjoying the night.

Whether the guests won a raffle prize or the silent auction or just shared a great conversation with friends, everyone went home happy and in good spirits knowing they have helped to bring joy to a child.
