A Summertime Celebration

As you may remember, last year we coordinated a truly fabulous Bat Mitzvah in the Hamptons. So we were delighted to hear from the grandmother of our Bat Mitzvah girl a few months back who was turning seventy and wanted to put on a stunning party for all of her friends and family to celebrate. Ester wanted the party to be under the same fabulous tent and play off the season for the decor. And with that we started to dream up all the ways we could make this event special for her!

It all started with a color palette! Like we said, Ester really wanted all the decor to play off of the season so we went with a color palette that looked warm & summery - pinks, corals, and white. Maggie then designed a stunning invite and website for all of the guests to refer to in preparation of the big day.

Being that this property was so pretty we wanted cocktail hour to be really fun. Thats why we decided to set up lounge areas all throughout the backyard where Ester’s guests could sit, mingle, and and enjoy a drink. The property also has an amazing view that over looks the water so this was perfect being that the party started just before sunrise.

Throughout the lawn we also placed fun glow balls that would go on as night started to fall.

As entertainment we had a photo booth set up with fun props for guests to enjoy along with a fabulous Magician that went around to all of the guests with cool tricks.

Now moving onto the tent! The one we used for the Bat Mitzvah was the perfect size to fit Ester’s backyard so we went with the same one but did a different layout to make it feel new.

As guests entered they each grabbed a custom seating card with their names calligraphed on top. We attached all of our custom stone plane cards to this huge cork board that has rustic frame and then on top of that added fresh florals to bring in some color. It was truly stunning!

Inside the tent, instead of lounge furniture we did long seated dinner tables that had luscious bud vases down the center along with candles to set the mood.

Maggie painted these table numbers to match our previous designs along with this menu that was placed on top of event table setting.

The dance floor was placed in the center of the tent with DJ booth directly behind it. On the front of that, we installed a custom cut sign to match the font we used on the rest of our designs. Then Maggie and I attached greenery to make it really pop off of our DJ booth.

As our big WOW factor we worked with a specialty lighting company to get these gorgeous lamps installed at different heights throughout the tent. We then installed flowers onto the front of each of them to give them that extra special LMP touch.

Once the party under the tent commenced there was singing, dancing, and of course delicious bites. The family even put together a beautiful montage and made speeches to honor our birthday girl.

All we can say was this birthday party was definitely one for the books. We know that Ester and all of her guests truly had an amazing time and it’ll be a night they cherish for a lifetime.

Big thanks to everyone who made this event possible!
