Camp Kertzner Essentials!

Since the kids were little, every summer I have put them into some sort of camp. When they were really tiny and I needed to be close by, I put each of them at a local day camp near our house out East where they could swim, do crafts, and be with their friends. Once they reached a certain age, the plan was always to send them off to my sleep away camp growing up in Canada. Last year was Gavin’s first year and he became OBSESSED. I knew he would be.

This year was supposed to be Luke’s first year but of course 2020 had different plans for us! So in an effort to raise his spirits and give him (and Gavin) something to look forward to, I decided to open up Camp Kertzner!

Now, at Camp Kertzner we will of course not have any luxury activities like boat rides and jet skiing, BUT each day will be something NEW which I think is something we all are in need of us as the day begin to mesh together.

Some the categories I’ve implemented in our camp days will include crafts, archery, water sports, and of course my fave - the mess hall (aka snacks)! Below are some items I have on my list to make Camp Kertzner a success, and some that I’m snagging for my niece and nephew. Create your own ‘camp’ this summer and I guarantee you’ll have happy campers on your hands…whether you’re in your backyard, at the local park or even in your living room!
