To be honest, I have a love/hate relationship with the FALL season because I’m a true SUMMER girl BUT there are a few positives for this time of year. One that specifically stands out for me is the magnificent colors of the leaves that grace the trees (and eventually fall on my lawn). I wish they would stay stuck on the trees until the spring. Lately, I have been using these leaves in my photography and lemme tell you, they are so stunning I almost want to eat them. I have also been spotted running around in my front yard in pajamas picking these suckers off the ground….I hope no one thinks I’m nuts….oh wait…I think they already know that I am so it’s fine. Ding ding!! Here’s an idea for you to try using a leaf shaped cookie cutters. This is another easy shmeasy snack or tablescape decoration that you can get your little ones to participate in helping you. Here’s how: Preheat oven to 400F. Ready? Grab a package of Wonton Wrappers and your cookie cutter. Cut out your shapes (it really doesn’t have to be leaves but come on…are these not adorable?) Now get a bunch of toppings ready: Cinnamon/Sugar Sea Salt & Black Pepper Curry Powder or Turmeric – mixed with a bit of sugar, salt or parmesan cheese Paprika Sesame or Poppy Seeds Parsley Parmesan Cheese Colored Juices (I used beet juice & orange juice) *see note below* You will also need a small bowl of vegetable or olive oil & a paint brush. Dip a finger into the oil and lightly coat each leaf.  Now sprinkle with your choice of toppings. *Note* If you are painting on the colored juices just omit the oil. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 4 minutes or until crisp. There you have it!  A really cute snack or decoration for your Fall parties. I love these so much it actually hurts. See ya next week!
