Ready, Set, Summer!
Memorial Day is now behind us, so you know what that means… we’re officially on the edge of summer. I don’t know about you, but for me, summer is this weird mix of total chaos and ultimate chill. On one hand, it feels like the time to get a ton of stuff done around the house (my husband’s a teacher, so he’s home), and we always plan a big getaway to escape the brutal New Jersey heat. But at the same time, summer is the most relaxed season, especially in New York City. Things slow way down, half the city disappears until fall, and there’s just a more laid-back vibe overall.
One of my absolute favorite summer traditions is heading down to my family’s house on Long Beach Island (IYKYK). When we’re there, it’s all about keeping things easy and low-effort, especially when we have guests over for the weekend. That usually means big dinners, lots of hang time outside, and just needing stuff that makes entertaining easy.
That’s one of the reasons I love our store so much, we’ve got anything you could think of to throw together a cute picnic table set up and pool day at a moments notice. I’m talking reusable cups, cute cocktail napkins, fun pool floats, even outdoor games that keep the vibes going all day long. Check out some of our favorites here and here!

Also, pro tip: don’t hit the beach without the essentials: a good book (honestly, the only time I really like to read), a travel tumbler for your iced coffee or rosé, and of course, sunscreen (especially if its sunscreen in cute packaging). And if you’re lucky enough to have a pool… Everything I just mentioned totally works poolside too. Especially the pool floats that I sadly do not have a pool for but WILL be gifting to my friends who do!
We’re about three weeks away from the official start of summer, but I know schools are already wrapping up in some places, and things are heating up.
