Rockin' Out in Brooklyn!

Sometimes all you need to do to freshen up a classic party theme is a new color palette. Unicorn parties are true example of a classic party theme but maybe instead of pairing with a rainbow color palette, try giving it a neon twist. I guarantee you’ll have guests wow’ed at all of your unique neon touches!

We applied this same idea to party we styled a few weeks ago in Brooklyn. Rockstar party theme but let’s give it a fun color palette twist! We went with sky blue, lilac, and chrome silver.

You may remember this rockstar birthday we style a few years ago… we pulled elements from that party into this one but made sure to update it to fit the space we would be styling. Like for instance: helium balloons, not a good idea for outdoor weather!

This was our client’s backyard, and while small - we made sure to optimize every corner so that we had seating for guests, a play area for the kids, and most importantly a beautiful backdrop for photos because that’s really what it’s all about! Haha

For the kid’s play area - we added a fun outdoor rug, pillows (for kids and adults to perch on), and of course lot’s of themed toys like musical instruments, blow up guitars, and even this cute little Fisher Price Record Player!

We called this play space the “VIP Area” and made the walkway up to it fit for a rockstar with a custom sign and star marquee light to give it that red carpet feel.

For our dessert table, we of course had to bring in the super talented ladies over at La Bella Bash to bring this color palette to life. They even added this fun decal on our balloons that said “Party Like a Rockstar”.

Underneath we had the most beautiful dessert spread! My favorite item was definitely the custom guitar pick cookies made by Making That Cake. Each “pick” had a different band logo on theme but we customized it with our party color palette to make sure it was all in line with the rest of the design.

And then of course, you know we needed to make sure all our little rockstar took home some goodies at the end of the party. We got custom musical crayons made on Etsy and put them in these custom drawstring bags so that guests could reuse them after the party!

Little touches like this make all the difference! We love how this party turned out and can’t wait for our next outdoor bash in Brooklyn and beyond!
